1. Who we are
Smeltbay sells 3D printed goods, digital STL files, and a custom print service that turns your image into a printed statue. Contact and company details are on the imprint page. All prices include VAT where applicable.
2. Custom orders — your image, your rights
By uploading an image for a custom print you affirm that you own the rights to it or have the rights-holder’s permission to have it made into a physical object, and that it contains nothing unlawful. You confirm this with a checkbox at upload; we may refuse and refund any order that appears to violate this clause. You keep all rights to your image — we use it only to produce your order and delete it per the privacy policy.
3. Custom orders — preview and approval
Custom orders include a 3D preview you can inspect in the browser before we print, and one free revision. If you don’t respond to a preview within 14 days it is approved automatically so your order isn’t delayed indefinitely.
4. Digital files
STL files are delivered as download links after payment. Unless a product page states otherwise, files are licensed for personal use: you may print them for yourself, but not redistribute, resell or share the files or sell prints of them.
5. Withdrawal
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal on physical catalog products. Custom prints are made to your personal specification and are exempt; digital downloads lose the right once the download begins with your consent. See the right of withdrawal page for the full notice.
6. Liability
3D printed objects are decorative unless stated otherwise — they are not toys, food containers or safety equipment. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
